We'll all attempt to broaden our horizons... we'll challenge one another's paradigms, and attempt to shift them... Worldviews will be shaken, and rugs will be pulled from underfoot... We'll twist and contort the psyche until it nears the breaking point... We'll allow a work of fiction to take us beyond the boundaries of mental comprehension...

Though I really don't mind the order, I feel obligated to point out that you might be wrong in this case, in promoting The Pale Blue Dot as our next read. I think, perhaps, that you're taking your next book off of the wrong list. Below is the comment left by you which finalized our first five books:
Alright, the verdict is in:
1. The Audacity of Hope
2. Candide
3. Suttree
4. Brave New World
5. The Pale Blue Dot
I think Kevin's idea, of one book per month is acceptable.
We'll need whomever's book we're reading (Kev in this case) to set a weekly reading schedule so we're all coming across the same material at the same time.
Once the reading schedule is set, we'll attempt to share ideas, etc. via the blog, up until we meet in person at the end of the reading.
And so it is... I'll be buying the Obama book tomorrow...

I haven't bought either one yet so it doesn't matter to me, but we do need to settle on the next book. I vote Suttree, in keeping with the original list.
Also, should Mic decide to man up at some point I'd be willing to bump up his choice for the following read.
Your plea for mercy on young Blouin would certainly be heard in council. I have no arguments against what you've just proposed.
We await BL's confirmation on the list. I have all assurances it will come within the next few hours.
i see no reason why my book should be read sooner than others. I'm a slacker and a failure.
besides... "Candide" is short and it makes sense to read it when the semester is in full swing.
Chaim, the semester would indeed be in full swing when we start the next book, which would be from mid-February to mid-April.
Consider your ways!
My mistake on the order of the list... Suttree it is. We should consider it official.
I refuse to buy the book or start reading it until the picture is changed on the bottom of this "blog". Only then will it be official.
Make it so.
Damn, BL, that's a tall order from PIG!
Rat bastards.
It's changed.
We're lucky Trav isn't hosting this blog. None of us can handle the wolf!
I miss Smittington.
